The Role: We’re looking for a highly motivated content creator and curator to lead in the launch of a new mobile-first platform connecting the Triangle, whether you just arrived or are born and bred here. 

 

If you have an original voice and an eye for the important events, people and moments that make the Triangle a vibrant, innovative and unique place, we want you. We want someone who thrives in a creative environment, but who understands the importance of deadlines and details. We’re looking for someone who has a start-up “hustle” mentality, but is ready to work for the most established and leading media company in town. Oh, and we want someone who likes to have fun — because this job is pretty awesome.

 

Responsibilities:

 

– Create and curate content in in collaboration with our regional Content Studio conceptualizing daily content that will resonate with our Triangle audience.

 

– Find the next trend, the hottest event, the most engaging people, places and things and create content around them. Be experimental with your storytelling style and techniques.

 

– Develop and manage your posse of staff and freelance writers, photographers and videographers.

 

– Use multiple social media platforms daily to promote the brand and all content.

 

– Set a tone for high quality standards consistent with the brand.

 

Requirements:

 

– At least 3 years experience in content creation and storytelling.

 

– Fluent in the full Adobe Create Suite, Final Cut Pro and WordPress.

 

– A portfolio that demonstrates creativity and attention to detail.

 

– Excellent communication and organizational skills and a strong track record of using social media to find and draw audience.

 

– Able to manage multiple projects with often changing demands.

 

– Great team player, but also a natural self-starter.

 

– Confident and not afraid to contribute innovative ideas.

 

– Able to prioritize in order to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

 

– Willing to work some nights and weekends as needed.

 

– Knowledge of the Triangle region and its unique cultures is a plus.
